Basis concepts and Workspace

This article explains several terms used throughout the Engage Process application that may not be immediately clear.

Under Basic concepts, the most commonly used terms are briefly explained.
In addition, this article describes the general layout of the Dashboard workspace.

Use the headings below to quickly navigate to a specific section.

Basic concepts

Workspace
The workspace refers to the layout of the application. It determines which elements are visible and where they are positioned within the interface.

Diagram
Diagram is a collective term for:

  • Processes

  • Brainstorms

  • Overviews

Project
A project is a collection of diagrams organised in a folder structure within the Engage Process Modeler.

Session
A session is the period of time a user is logged into the application.

Example:
If a user logs in during the morning, logs out before lunch, and then logs in again in the afternoon before logging out at the end of the day, this counts as two sessions.

Workspace

The Dashboard workspace is not divided into separate windows.
As a result, the options for rearranging or customising the workspace layout are limited.
