Live updates and history.
A board is often used by several people at the same time. Obviously, a board can be an excellent tool to use during a work meeting, but a board may also be consulted between meetings and changes can be made by the various users.
Live updates
A board can be used by several people at the same time. This can lead to a situation where two users are viewing the same work item or task. As soon as one of the users goes to make a change on the form of the work item or task, the field being changed is blocked for other users to change. The other user sees the field change colour and sees a message appear on screen with the name of the user currently making the change.
History
Besides being able to see live changes in a form you have open, Teamboard also keeps record of changes made. This way, you can see what and when you have changed something yourself, but also what others have done in a form. You can view the history of changes in the following way:
- Open the form of a work item or task by, for example, double-clicking on the card displayed on the board.
- At the top left, you will see the following:
- Select ‘History’ and you will see an overview of what changed, when, and by whom. You will also see what was changed compared to prior versions. If several things were changed at the same time, there is a triangle in front of the line on the far left. Click this triangle to expand the rule and see all changes made that time.
