General
- Images added to descriptions, comments, or notes are now stored separately from the diagram. This reduces the diagram and database size and improves the performance of database-intensive processes such as exporting a process document to PDF/Word.
- When copying/pasting text from external sources (such as browsers or Office documents), the formatting is cleaned up immediately. This may cause minor visual differences, but it makes the content lighter and more manageable and prevents inconsistencies between what is visible in Modeler/Viewer and in the PDF/Word file after exporting the process to a process document.
- Security improvements have been implemented to protect against XSS attacks. The code has been rewritten based on ‘whitelisting’ instead of ‘blacklisting’ in preparation for upcoming penetration tests.
Reports
- The new reporting interface introduced in the Viewer during our previous release is now also available in Modeler, Publisher and Admin Centre.
- Report results are now displayed in a redesigned table. For large results, the table is divided across pages on the screen and sorting options are available for all columns.
- The limit of 500 processes has now been removed for all reports.
Modeler
- In the mini properties window, the regular Properties window, and in the Properties table (Start tab, Properties button), the fields for roles and other table items, such as Applications, now have:
- A Recently Used function for quick reselection.
- A search field for quickly filtering and finding items.
- A tooltip option to quickly view the description of items.
- Process links whose name has not been changed, i.e. still have the name of the linked process, are automatically renamed when the linked process is renamed.
- The first two columns of the properties table (tab “Start”, button “Properties”) remain fixed when scrolling horizontally, so that you always have the step numbers and names in view.
- Improved repositioning of notes after expanding/collapsing sub-processes, phases and process links.
- The current project is displayed by default when creating process links, making it clearer for the user to select a process immediately when the linked process is in the same project.
- Modeller users and approver(s) can optionally receive an email notification when their process submitted for publication/approval is published or rejected. This can be can be set in the Admin Centre under “Notifications” under the heading “Publication”.
- More user-friendly behaviour of the process filter dialogue box (tab “Layout”, button “Customise filter”).
- New reports have been added to the “Reporting” tab. These reports show which processes link to a specific process and which processes are linked from other processes.
- An additional warning now appears when deleting a process that is linked to other processes from the same or another project.
- The “Submit for publication” button is inactive when mandatory approval is required for the process.
- The logic for drawing arrows after filtering the various “go to” icons has been improved. This means that connection lines between a “go to” icon and the destination icon are now drawn more accurately by the application itself, reducing the need for manual adjustments.
Publisher
- A new report has been added that shows which processes/overviews and/or documents are linked to the various figures or images in an overview (tab “Reports” and button “Linked objects”).
Viewer
- We have introduced the “Favourites” category in the Viewer. You can now mark processes and overviews as “favourites” by clicking on the star behind the name at the top centre. If you then click on our logo at the top left, you will see an extra category appear with the name “Favourites”. Click on this and you will see all the processes and overviews you have marked as favourites. This allows you to navigate quickly to these diagrams.
- The description of roles or other table items, such as applications, is now displayed in the Viewer. The following symbolappears behind the item in the properties window. If you hover your mouse over this icon, the description of this item will appear.
- As in the Modeler, it is now also possible in the Viewer to expand and collapse all sub-processes and phases at once. Click the right mouse button in the Viewer to select this option.
Admin Center
- The first steps have been taken towards the new design of our Admin Center. The look and feel of the application has been updated. The following parts of the Admin Center have also been given a new look:
- Step library
- Templates
- Deleted items
- Active sessions
The remaining pages will follow in the next release.
- Importing users, table types and tables via a CSV file has been made smarter. The application automatically recognises the list separator used.
- Blocking user logins now supports multiple selection, so that logins can be blocked for multiple users at once (under “Users & Groups”).
Teamboard
- In the table view, it is now possible to select multiple rows and select a value from a drop-down list for all these rows at once.
