Spring '24 Product Release Notes

Engage Process

Going live on March 12th 2024, Engage Process will provide updates to the product and new features made available. As you have come to expect from us, several smaller points have been tightened and fixed and some new features have been added.

General

Many of the changes in this release are not visible to users. Our R&D team is busy restructuring and cleaning up all of the platform code. This makes our platform more stable and flexible, and future customisations can be developed more easily, quickly and efficiently.

  • The content and layout of all email notifications automatically sent by the application have been changed, so that information is uniformly displayed and more clearly portrays the relevant details in the email.
  • Additional checks have been added that prevent entry of invalid characters which could have previously created problems.
  • All modules have been adapted to changes in the behaviour of the internet browsers in which our products can be used.
  • All free text fields now also remove (invisible) formatting when all text is removed from the field.
  • In all windows on selecting table items, the name of the table type is now shown as the name of the first column when the table type has several properties.

Risk Management (GRC)

  • In this release, several adjustments have been made that are needed to better support GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) and risk management initiatives. Engage Process positions itself strongly to also support GRC and Risk objectives from process management. In Engage Process, the GRC & Risk management functions are not in 1 separate module, but rather, adjustments were made to the central tables: authorisation for managing and adjusting these tables was adjusted, the screens with which table properties can be selected in process steps were improved, and adjustments were made to the reports.

Single Sign On

  • We now support Single Sign On when the customer has multiple domains. Please note that Engage Process' support of multiple domains in SSO is subject to charge.
  • We now also support guest users in the customer's Azure AD.
  • Automatic assignment of user licenses for Teamboard and the Viewer (App) are now even easier.
  • Viewer links created in customer environments where Single Sign On (SSO) has been implemented now get the specific SSO suffix at the end of the link by default, e.g.:"/?=sso=engageprocess.com".

All the other changes

Modeler

  • After deleting all text within the 'Annotation' field, the annotation figure within the process is also automatically deleted.
  • Authorisation options have been extended for assigning rights to table types. A distinction is now made between rights regarding the table type itself and rights regarding the content of the table. This is particularly desirable for recording GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) within Engage Process.

Reporting

  • The options regarding the layout of cross-reference reports have been improved to make them clearer and easier to read. This is especially true for reports where multiple table values are selected with different properties.

Publisher

  • Additional checks and alerts have been added when adjusting authorisation on published processes, so that it is still clear to the user what the consequences of the desired adjustment(s) will be.
  • The Publisher window for testing navigation between views and processes has been enlarged, making testing easier. During testing, the overviews are also automatically enlarged or reduced in size, so the overviews are always (almost) fully visible.

Teamboard

  • The height of the Teamboard cards are now automatically adjusted better, so that the cards can no longer overlap. The information on the cards therefore always remains fully visible.
  • It is now possible to set no prefilled (default) value of a selection field. Even when the field is mandatory.
